OUR HISTORY

Quality, not quantity

Since its founding in 1956, the Greenfield Park Lions Club has been a pillar of generosity and community involvement for over 65 years.

The club has directly improved the town, funding initiatives like the first children's wading pool and transforming the Christmas basket campaign. They've also left a mark in sports, with their Boys Pee-Wee Hockey Team and annual bursaries for a local high school.

Beyond their hometown, the club's contributions are no less impressive. They've donated to causes like the Leader Dog Foundation and supported recycling efforts to benefit guide dogs. They've also aided organizations for the intellectually handicapped.

The club’s contribution has been exemplary, particularly when considered on a per capita basis. There have been zone chairmen, Deputy district Governors, two District Governors, Lions Gil and Bernie Constantine and Lion Gil went on to become an international Director not to mention a considerable number of District Chairmen.

In Greenfield Park, quality has always triumphed over quantity, showcasing their unwavering commitment and service to the community and beyond.
